Last december, my uncle from the finish side of the family, Kalervo Kaipio was visiting in Switzerland. We unfortunately only met for a short time at the airport in Zurich, just prior of him flying back to finland.

Nonetheless we spent about an hour updating ourselves about what we do in life. And took the following picture.

In early January, Kalervo died of a hear attack in Helsinki.

I’m glad I seized the opportunity to meet with him and it reconfirms me, that when given the opportunity and gut-feeling, that you can meet someone, one should not postpone it for a matter of lazyness or inconvenience, for it might be, that the opportunity does not re-arise.

I have been having snake pets ever since I can remember. Some of them, have even become publicly famous… This was many years ago, when I still lived in St. Gallen. But for your comfort, no plant survives more than 3 years around me, but my snakes have been with me for over 12 years.

You know, growing up in St. Gallen, you tend to have a thing about St. Galler-Bratwürste. They sort of represent the hart and soul of St. Gallen. Going through old Family pictures and finding a picture of your grandparents out in Eggersrieter-Wald (a local forrest) grilling a St. Galler Bratwurst on a stick, will instantly put a smile on your face and a glow in your heart.

So I decided to share. If you ever are in Switzerland, don’t leave without tasting a St. Galler-Bratwurst (and don’t try any other)…

In Sept. 1986 my grandparents, Roger and Hazel Price, celebrated their Golden Wedding. Among many of their friends attending, were also the President of the Mormon Church, Ezra Taft Benson and his wife.

The event was covered in the Lehi Free Press, which my great-grandfather helped found. So you see, I come from a media family Just kidding.

  

 

 

As I am cleaning up some of my old files, I have come across a bunch of old phots, that I will be publishing here in the near future.

One thing, I am especially happy about in my life, is fishing.

My grandpa was a big fisherman in Utah, and taught a ton of people the pleasure of fishing, including my Dad and my brothers. During my visit in July 2002 I had the honor and fortune of taking my grandpa on his last fishing trip, as he passed away in September of 2002. I have some of that on video, and will be publishing once I get around to it.

This one picture though shows, what my grandpa and fishing are all about!

My Dad was in the news a few times as well, as a young kid. My grandma left these clippings for me, so I decided to share them.

My grandmother, Hazel Price, left me some newspaper clips, before she died in 2001. So I decided to scan them in and share them with the rest of my family, before they get lost or anyting else.

Ezra Taft Benson was the President of the Mormon Church, during the times of my grandparents. My grandfather, George Roger Price, was Ezra Taft Benson’s barber for many years.
